Pastoral Transition
On February 1, 2026 we shifted to one worship service at 10:30am on Sundays. On February 9, 2026 we enter a period of pastoral transition. The Elder Board Chairman has been tasked with oversight of personnel and leadership during this transition and will communicate with the church body about transitional developments. Please continue to worship with us as we seek the Lord's favor each week and pray for God's provision in our search for new pastoral leadership.
Dave Stanley
Lead Pastor - Ministry Training and Counseling
After serving as lead pastor for 16 years at FBC Ark City, Pastor Dave's last day in the pulpit will be Sunday February 8th. He has accepted a lead pastor position in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and will soon depart for this next season of ministry. Dave served as youth and associate pastor at FBC Ark City in the 1990s before becoming a lead pastor in Riverside, California where he served for 11 years. He returned to FBC Ark City as lead pastor in 2010. Dave earned a Bachelor of Education from Kansas State University, a Master of Divinity from Central Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master of Human Resource Management from National University.

Matt Allen
Associate Pastor - Worship & Youth
Matt is from Long Beach, California where he pursued careers in instrumental music, law enforcement, and golf before arriving in Arkansas City in 2012. He has been youth pastor at FBC Ark City since 2013 and associate pastor since 2017.
