Dave Stanley

Lead Pastor / Ministry Training / Counseling

Dave Stanley has been the Lead Pastor at First Baptist Church since October 10th, 2010. Dave and his family returned home to Arkansas City, Kansas, after ministering for eleven years as lead pastor at Fellowship Baptist Church in Riverside, California. Dave is married to Jodie (Buechner). Their four adult children are Nathan, Joel, Marissa, and Caleb. Dave has a passionate heart to see people discipled and maturing in their faith to serve Jesus Christ. Using the scriptural mandate found in Colossians 1:28, Dave desires more than ever to “proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in Christ.” He loves to teach Scripture in a relevant manner that meets people where they are.

Dave graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Education, and earned his Master of Divinity from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Kansas. He holds a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from National University in La Jolla, California.

Matt Allen

Associate Pastor | Worship & Youth

Matt grew up in Southern California, joined the FBC Ark City staff in 2013 and became Associate Pastor of Worship & Youth in 2017. His wife, Lindsay, sings on the praise team and is the director of vocal music at Cowley College. Their son is Greyson.

Marissa Palmer

Office Manager

Marissa joined FBC Ark City in 2010 and became Office Manager in 2023. She and her husband Cade have a daughter, Selah, and two cats named Fish and Toad.
